Scholls Valley Lodge Wedding Day
If you’re dreaming of a cozy and scenic winter wedding at Scholls Valley Lodge in Portland, Oregon, Sabrina and Zach’s wedding day was the perfect example of just how beautiful it can be.
Like many weddings in the Portland area, the forecast originally called for classic Oregon rain. But somehow, we lucked out with a soft, cloudy day instead — which honestly made for the most dreamy light for wedding portraits. Overcast skies are one of my favorite kinds of weather for wedding photography in Portland, and this day could not have been more perfect.
We started the morning with bridal details and getting ready inside the lodge, while Dom spent the morning with the guys in the bunkhouse. One of the sweetest parts of the day was Sabrina’s emotional first look with her dad, followed by a beautiful first touch with Zach before the two finally shared their first look.
One of the best parts of getting married at Scholls Valley Lodge is the ceremony space. Their ceremony spot has some of the most beautiful views and makes such a stunning backdrop for a Portland wedding ceremony. Even in winter, the venue felt warm, romantic, and full of charm.
From the heartfelt ceremony to the joyful reception, Sabrina and Zach’s wedding day was such a beautiful celebration, and you could feel how happy they were to finally be married.
