Nicole and Daven’s Engagement Session
Strawberry Island sits quietly in the Columbia River Gorge, a sliver of land where the water moves slow and the views stretch wide in every direction: and it turned out to be a perfect fit for Nicole and Daven's engagement session. The Gorge has a way of making everything feel a little more expansive, and these two brought exactly the right energy to match it.
Nicole and Daven are Oregon natives, both from Salem originally, now living in Oakland and building a life that, by all accounts, leans toward the adventurous side. Their engagement story alone tells you a lot about them: Daven proposed after a skydiving jump in Yolo County, which is either the most romantic thing imaginable or the most terrifying, depending on who you ask. Either way, it worked.
They met on Tinder, kept it low-key for approximately no time at all, and have been together ever since.
Nicole and Daven will be hosting their wedding in Washougal, Washington, at a private backyard venue along the Washougal River. It'll be relaxed and outdoors, with no bridal party and no fuss, just the people they love most gathered around them in a beautiful setting. Day-of coordinator Mary Lee of Aton Events will be keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
