Brooke and Jack’s Engagement Session at Rowena Crest

Brooke and Jack's engagement session at Rowena Crest could not have landed on a more perfect spring day. Perched high above the Columbia River Gorge, the crest was alive with color, the kind of wildflower bloom that only happens for a few fleeting weeks each year and makes the drive out on the Historic Columbia River Highway feel entirely worth it.

Spring at Rowena Crest means balsamroot painting the hillsides in broad strokes of gold, clusters of purple lupine swaying in the gorge wind, and delicate phlox low to the ground between them. Chocolate lilies dot the meadows alongside shooting stars, prairie stars, and the soft white blooms of desert parsley. It is one of the most genuinely spectacular wildflower displays in the Pacific Northwest, and Brooke and Jack had it all to themselves as a backdrop.

The two of them have a story worth telling. They met as kids through school and wrestling, spent years growing up in the same world, and eventually found their way to each other the kind of origin story that makes you believe some things are just a matter of time. Four years in, they've built a life together, sharing a home and staying rooted close to both of their families in Woodland, Washington, which matters deeply to them both.

Their wedding is set for Wind Mountain Ranch, an outdoor venue chosen for its sweeping views, its natural setting, and the ease it offers for the family-centered celebration they're envisioning. If their engagement session is any indication, it's going to be a beautiful day!
