Julia and Will planned an intimate celebration surrounded by their closest family and friends at Chateau de Lis, a stunning private estate with elegant architecture, immaculate grounds and beautiful spaces for getting ready, portraits, ceremonies and receptions. The property was originally built as a private home, and its recently opened glass reception hall gives couples a gorgeous, light-filled space to celebrate. Really, this reception space is to die for.
Their day was beautifully coordinated by Olive & Ivory, allowing Julia and Will to relax and actually enjoy every moment. And there was plenty to enjoy! Julia might be one of the happiest and most effortlessly joyful brides we’ve ever photographed, while Will and his four brothers kept everyone laughing throughout the morning.
As their wedding photographers, we explored the Chateau’s architecture and gardens for portrait locations before capturing their emotional first look and private vows. Later, Julia and Will snuck away during golden hour for a few quiet moments together in the wildflower garden, where we got some amazing photographs.
The evening ended with an incredible Italian dinner, heartfelt and hilarious toasts, a surprise involving 1,000 handmade paper cranes, ballroom-style first dance spins and a packed dance floor.
